No. President-Executive Powers
1. As per Article 53 executive power of the union shall be vested in the President.
2. He has the right to seek information from the Prime Minister under Article 78 of the Constitution.
3. He appoints:
The Prime Minister and other Union Ministers.
Judges of Supreme Court and High Courts.
Attorney General of India.
Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
Governor of States and Lieutent Governors of Union Territories.
Election Commissioners.
Chairman and members of Union Public Service Commission, Official Language Commission, Backward Classes Commission, Linguistic Minorities Commission, National Commission for Human Rights and for Women, Scheduled Castes and Tribes.
