No. Vice-President-Powers
1. The Vice-President is the ex-officio chairman of the Rajya Sabha.
2. He presides over the meetings of the Rajya Sabha.
3. He conducts voting on the bills and sends the bills accepted by the Rajya Sabha to the Lok Sabha.
4. He exercises his casting vote in case the members are divided into equal.
5. He exercises almost all powers as that of the Lok Sabha Speaker.
6. In the event of death, resignation or removal, the Vice-President acts as the President.
7. He acts as President for a period not exceeding six months.
8. When he acts as the President, he shall be eligible for all the benefits and immunities of the President.
