Harsha-Battles

War with Pulakesin II:

Harsha himself marched against Pulakesin II, the Badami Chalukya ruler but was unable to defeat Pulakesin II.

In the opinion of Dr.Baijnath Harsha might have concluded an honourable peace with Pulakesin II.

The Aihole inscription which was written by the poet Ravikirti indicates that the battle between Harsha and Pulakesin II took place somewhere between the Vindhya and the Reva(Narmada).

It was claimed that Pulakesin II got the title of "Parameshwara" by defeating Harshavardhana.

Sasanka:

Sasanka was the ruler of Bengal. He was an ally of Devagupta, the ruler of Malwa.

As per Bana`s Harshacharita Harsha started elaborate war preparations against Sasanka.

But there is no details of war either in Bana`s Harshacharita or Hiuen Tsang account.

In the opinion of R.O.Bennerji Sasanka was defeated by Harsha and his kingdom was also annexed by Harsha.
