Kakatiyas

As per the "Prataparudra Yashobhushanam" written by Vidyanadha, Kakatiyas got their name because they worshipped the goddess called "Kakati".

The founder of Kakatiya dynasty was Kakartya Gundaya (954). But he was not independent ruler. He was the chief of the Koravi domain.

Betaraja I, Prolaraja I, Betaraja II, and Durgaraja were not independent rulers. They ruled as feudatories of Kalyani Chalukyas.

Prolaraja II was the first independent ruler of Kakatiya dynasty.

Rudradeva, Ganapatideva and Rudramadevi were the prominent rulers of this dynasty.

Ganapatideva was greatest among the kakatiya rulers.

Rudramadevi was the first woman ruler of Andhra.

Prataparudra II was the last ruler of Kakatiya dynasty.

Recharla Rudra had the title of 'Kakatiyarajya stapanacharya'.
