Guru Ramdas was the fourth Sikh Guru.
His period was from 1575-1581 A.D.
He succeeded Guru Amar Das.
Guru Ramdas had cordial relations with the Mughal emperor Akbar.
Akbar gave him 500 Bighas of land near Amritsar and remitted revenues of the Punjab for one year.
Ramdas built a new town called Chak Guru of Ramdaspura (Amritsar).
