Non-Cooperation Movement

Non-Cooperation Movement was started in 1920.

The Calcutta special session of Congress in September 1920 passed the Non-Cooperation resolution.

The resolution was ratified in the Nagpur annual session of Congress in December, 1920.

It was the Movement under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi.

Non-Cooperation Movement had two parts.

First one is programme of Non-Cooperation. It includes boycott of legislatures, give up foreign cloths, boycott of schools, courts, surrender of titles given by the Government.

Second one is Constructive Programme. It includes eradicate untouchability, spin the thread from cotton, prohibit liquor etc.
